Abra Thinks Pink For The Community

Northern California Breast Cancer Awareness

Since 2009, Abra has been giving back to the Northern California community by donating it’s services to Nor-cal Think Pink, a breast cancer awareness organization based out of Redding, California. Every year Abra takes care of the web development needs, provides the capability for a custom online photo contest, and in 2009, Abra worked closely with members of Nor-Cal Think Pink to help get approval to light the Sundial Bridge in pink lights on Think Pink Day. The lighting of the Sundial Bridge is now an annual Think Pink Day event.

The Website Redesign

In 2013, Abra revamped the Think Pink Website with a new design. The redesign features a responsive layout with beautiful photos that capture the caring energy of the Nor-cal Think Pink Organization. Some of the new features and sections that Abra upgraded the site with were an events calendar, a page dedicated solely to all of the Think Pink Sponsors, a board members area that introduces each board member on a personal level, and a new section where local breast cancer survivors share their stories.

The 2014 Think Pink Photo Contest

Each year since 2010, Nor-cal Think Pink has held a “Think Pink Photo Contest” where people in the community submit pink and/or breast-cancer-related photos, and 12 winners from the contest are chosen to be featured in a calendar. Abra provided the technology for the annual Think Pink Photo Contest again in 2014, and as with every year, the community submitted some awesome photos. Check out a few of this year’s entries below, and visit the Think Pink website to view all of the entries.
